Bastian is a very healthy young man, even in comparison to some adults twice his age. He has an impressive physique given his well toned body. His legs and arms are slightly bigger than your average 16 year old male. His muscles are a bit more thick and solid, throwing hints of his work ethic to those who notice such things. His hands are a little big for someone his age though it is only slightly and the palms are rough and firm. His feet that fit a size 9, which is just under average, are a little rough from moving around and being on them so much. His calf muscles are very hard and solid, all in all giving this young boy a better physique than some men twice his age. He has several small cuts and scraps on his body, easily noticeable with a few even being on his face. Not the least bit shy about them, Bastian rarely, if ever, attempts to hid then. He has a birthmark of a howling wolf on his left shoulder. His hair is neck length though Bastian keeps it in a single, unkempt ponytail to keep it managed so that it doesn't get in his face when he is working, training, or fighting. His hair color is a dark grey that looks almost black, though upon closer inspection one can see the gray color. He stands about 5'9 and weighs close to 155lbs, excluding the weight of his clothing and his skin tone is slightly tanned , not so much that he is a light bronze but enough for some to see he spends some of his time outside. He will almost always maintain a very relaxed expression, having very few smile or frown marks as he doesn't do much of either very often. His eyes are usually half closed giving people the impression he is tired or stoned, though this just how is eyes are naturally shaped.

Bastian feels that appearance speaks volumes, thus he will always strive to maintain a good appearance if he can help it. Regardless of what he is wearing he will always wear his ninja chain vest that is the usual attire for a ninja in battle. Over the vest he wears an all black shirt that is rather long, stopping well below the waist. He will typically tuck this in so that it doesn't hinder his movements. The black shirt is long sleeved, the sleeves themselves fitting tightly on the arms, and stop just at the wrist. The gloves he wears are red and are opened fingered. The gloves arm made to provide padding on the inside but remain less so on the out. The gloves are very long going up the arm and stopping just below the elbow region, the gloves are the same on both arms. Over the black shirt he will wear a red vest that is slightly baggy so that he can easily reach in his inside pockets for items he has put there. He is even able to fold his arms within the vest without a hassle. The inside pockets are very durable, enough to hold sharp tools, and large able to hold numerous items without risk of tearing and don't bulge so that none can tell that there are items inside. On both the left and right breast of the vest can these pockets be located. The vest itself isn't long but stops at the waist so it to is tucked into the pants, in similar fashion to the black undershirt. The pants are held up with a black cloth belt that is wrapped tightly around waist keeping the shirt and vest from getting un-tucked when Bastian is doing a lot of movement.

Bastian wears two sets of shorts with this outfit, both made of a durable cotton material just like the shirts. The first pair is the more durable of the two as it has a chained lining like the chained vest, as a means to provide a better defense against attacks. The chains on the shorts are less thick than the ones on the shirt, so that mobility isn't an issue. The shorts stop just below the knee and fit very tight on the legs, this comes into when the second pair is put on. The second pair has a slit on the sides of the second pair that exposes the lower part of the waist to the upper part of the thigh. This allows the first pair to be seen and also serves shows where the ninja tools bag would be located on either side. The lower part of the second pair of shorts is very wide and bulky thus the lower part will always be tucked into the bottom of the first pair of shorts. Due first pair fitting so tightly to the body, once the second pair is tucked it stays tucked regardless of the amount of movement taking place. Everything else below the knee area is wrapped in a black cloth that wraps around the remainder of the exposed leg all the way until it is tied under the heel. Then black socks are worn over the rest of the exposed foot, followed by red ninja shoes that leave the toe and heel exposed.

Personality:
Calm and calculating are two words that best  describe the young man known as Bastian. He rarely loses his cool at all, feeling that panicking only leads to more mistakes and problems. He lives by the philosophy that one should let his actions speak for him, so he never speaks just to hear himself talk. He says what he feels on a particular subject only if the person he is speaking to is showing interest. Often times he may just keep his thoughts to himself, feeling the situation could do well without his two cent. He is very comfortable in his own mind, thus being alone doesn't affect him in the least. There are times when he may even seek solitude away from people. Finding solace from within, an introvert if you will.

He will never get into a fight if he can avoid it, believing such things tiring and a waste of energy. He is more of a deep thinker and very articulate, and isn't afraid to inquire about things he doesn't fully understand. "Only a fool follows without question" being another of these philosophies of his. Keeping in mind how much he hates talking for no reason, he does enjoy actually having a sensible conversation with like minded individuals. This is especially true when he is trying to learn more about a particular subject. In fact he enjoys learning new things as a whole, feeling that one can never know enough about the world and the different creatures that inhabit it.

Bastian prides himself on having an excellent memory for in regards to retaining information. This leading to his habit of am rarely writing things down, and thus constantly practicing memorization on what he learns. He is always intrigued about ancient civilizations or old figure heads that had once plagued the lands. A bit of an enthusiast in regards to history, some might think Bastian is akin to an explorer or archeologist. Always traveling to places and investigating legends and tales from all walks of life. One can find Bastian most at home on the road in a deep cave, or surrounded by people with the thirst for knowledge that matches his own.

Now one should know that Bastian isn't exactly the poster boy for loyalty, as he has his own wants that he plans to see come into fruition. He isn't so cold blooded to turn a blind eye to someone mugging a lady or some other heinous crime. But for the most part is apathetic about the personal problems of others not in his immediate circle of friends.  Unless solving or entertaining said issue will benefit Bastian in some way. He has an annoying tendency of playing mind games with people. For example he may tell you the truth about something, but will be incredibly vague about the answer just to piss you off. However, times when he does is so far and few in between each other it isn't that noticeable when he does do this. A tactic he would claim to keep people off balance.

Bastian is a tad bit a neat freak as he hates a lot of disorder and chaos thus making him instantly dislike anyone who starts to much of a ruckus, especially when he is working. This being one of the few things that may get a rise out of him, as he will not hesitate to snap at someone who is being to loud and/or disturbing him from what he is doing.

Bastian is very charismatic when it comes to dealing with people, if he needs to. Even though he prefers solitude over a large crowd, he knows how to put on a good front to make himself appear more friendly if it means getting what he needs. When in a good mood he can be good friend in terms of conversation and those who get close enough to him can find that he isn't as apathetic as he lets on, though few ever try. Despite he is more loyal to himself than anything else, he will show some compassion for the few he does actually like. And if moved to do so, is even willing to help his close friends achieve their goals as well. Though he is a loner, at heart, he knows the positives of having a few trusted friends to laugh with.

Beliefs/Religion: Bastian beliefs are based more around "faith in ones self" as a means to reach enlightenment. His beliefs follow the a long the lines that if one does not learn to do for themselves, they are ultimately crippling themselves from achieving their full potential. This is why he will often allow a person to struggle, believing that he is doing them a favor in the long run. This is how society as whole will progress, in his mind, and will gladly defend this belief if opposed (physically or verbally).
Country of Birth: Land of Wind

History:
The story of Bastian Kibagami begins with his birth. While most babies are born in a hospital or even their home, Bastian was born in a renowned brothel. His mother was the best employee in the Happy Endings brothel house. Her past was a mystery to all, save for herself and the family she left behind. She had been the eldest daughter to a samurai turned farmer, who decided to marry a woman he met in his travels. Bastian's mother, Kai, ended up killing her own mother upon being born. As a result, the father scorned Kai and treated cruel whenever opportunity presented itself. The height of his cruelty came when he sold Kai in order to pay off a gambling debt. Thus is how she ended up at the brothel.

Given her profession, naturally this would lead to the birth of Bastian. Sadly he would never know who his father was, seeing that not many men would claim the some of a whore. Bastian spent only a small part of his life at the brothel, before his mother managed to buy her own freedom and leave the brothel. With the extra money she earned and she moved to Harikēn, where she could raise her son away from such a place.

Bastian's life in Harikēn was quite a eventful one, at young age he began to work so he could assist his mother with financial matters. However, watching his mom work so hard to take care of them both gave Bastian incentive to want more for himself with his life. After his 10th birthday, a shinobi suggested he enroll in the ninja academy since they paid shinobi for completing missions. Given that up till now Bastian had become known as a fast delivery boy for a local food shop, the shinobi figured Bastian to be a good candidate. They discussed about how fast he was with deliveries and how strong he was with manual labor with his mother. Kai agreed with the choice without a moments hesitation.

Bastian had heard about the academy, but with everything that was going on in his life he couldn't just abandon his mom. However, it would be her own words that swayed his mind to join the academy. She assured him how she would be fine and that he should go with what he wanted with his life, "Live the way you want to live son" were her exact words. And with that he enrolled in the  Academy. He managed to graduate from the academy at the age of 13, and from there  was able to move on to the next step in his life.

The years to follow after Bastian graduation would prove to be exciting for him. Doing mission he was able to make money for his family and at the same time do what he loved doing the most, learning. He leaped at any chance to do a mission, he wanted to fight strong enemies so that he could test his skills on those that will make him push the envelop. And also he was eager to see what new things he could learn each day. He had a firm belief that the strong help the strong become stronger, so he held no concern of those he knew were weaker than him. Thus his circle of friends were small and held similar ideals like him.

One day he was off due to no mission being available and he chanced upon a old vacant building. He could hear talking from the from the inside though low it sounded like multiple people. His curiosity peaked, he entered the building and followed a set of stairs leading down. He found himself in what appeared to be a secret gathering, he smiled once he realized what this was. He made his way through the crowd of guys that circle two guys in a sort ring like fashion. Two bodies in the middle fought each other with such tenacity, Bastian couldn't help but be caught in the moment. After the fight ended he leaped into the center with a huge grin on his face. The people all laughed at the young 16 year old boy who thought he could fight among men. None would step forward claiming that they wouldn't pound some little runt, Bastian smiled and retorted taking out his money. "Who ever can beat me gets the it all, but if i win I take all you guys got. Numbers wont matter, all of you can charge me if you like." He gave a twisted grin that gave him the look of a villain, but the men didn't care about this. The smell of money on the table clouded their common sense, and 4 men charged at Bastian . To show the men a taste of what was in store for them, Bastian dodged the first attack by doing a back bend then landing on his back. Then he shifted his weight to his upper body and flipped unto his hands, opening his legs he spun on them so that his feet would strike 3 of the men that charged him in the lower jaw region. Then with a swift motion he pushed off his hands came at the first attack like a arrow kicking the man in the face. The four men lay on their backs trying to gain their bearings while Bastian laughed at their misfortune. It had appeared he earned some respect as now all of the men stopped laughing and started taking the man more seriously. Bastian looked at the group and motioned a for them to bring it on, with that they all charged at him.

After a few hours of fighting, Bastian emerged from the building. His eye was swollen and his lip was bleeding, he felt in his mouth and pulled free a loose tooth. Though he had entered empty handed he now left with honor scars and a cool new weapon. He held a bag of money in his hand, he liked the way it looked in his possession. He made his way home, he would have to get some ice on his eyes and lip before it got to swollen. He walked to his home ignoring the disgusted faces and concerned statements from the villagers, these scars were like medals of honor and medals should always be shown for the public to see. To them he was nothing more than a brute, but what they didn't know was that he now had money to buy a big dinner for him and his mother.

Not being one to waste pointless energy, Bastian planned to see to it that he manage to come out with even more for his efforts. The avenue to get it was open for him to take, as far as he was concerned.

" Bastian rarely if ever attempts to hid then" ; it would be wise to separate the highlighted part with a comma, as it is considered a separate thought that adds unto the sentence.

"He has a birthmark of the of a howling wolf on his left shoulder." ;  guessing you accidentally added an 'of the',

"wear his ninja chain vest" ; while it is fine to be wearing such things for mere roleplay flavor, it should be noted that it would need to be registered as to actually provide any defensive bonus.
