Here on SoL, we have four types of missions that your able to do to assist with your character's advancement into being a legend.

Ryo Missions
These missions focus on getting paid over getting a promotion in ranks. This gets you Ryo which is used as the universal currency on the site that gets you jutsu, weapons, armour, ect. These missions typically range from cleaning parks to playing bodyguard to even babysitting. Obviously the higher ranked the Mission is, the greater the scale of the job that needs to be done. So an S-rank Ryo Mission could be protecting a princess or delivering some vital medicine through a land ran by bandits. The idea is that your hiring yourself out to make some money on the side, rather than waiting for some guy to send you out to do a task. Those type of missions move us to the other type of missions that assist with the progression of your character. Also, these missions can be done solo or as a team.

Promo Missions
These missions are as the name suggest, focused solely on meeting the requirements for promoting to the next rank. These are requests that are made by high ranking officials or individuals that hold a lot of renown/respect. Often times these missions involve doing tasks that are particularly for the betterment of the country at the expense of another. Or it could be more local and be a dispute among two factions that are looking for an upper hand in a situation. These types of missions almost always with opposing forces, a desire for espionage, or the removal of a rival. Taking these will make your character more experienced in dealing with these things (I.e. ranking up). These missions can be done solo or as a team.

Allied Missions
These missions are very similar to Promotion Missions, but the difference is that these are only allowed to teams.In addition to getting the credit for promotion, those that complete these mission also receive the equivalent amount of Ryo as well. Full 4-man teams receive are allowed to include Word Count Ryo, as well.
